About us:
The word “Mkombe or umKkombe” is the Zulu name for “Rhino”.
Mkombe Tours & Safaris is based in the Nature Conservancy of Marloth Park which borders Kruger National Park in the heart of the South African Lowveld where wild animals such as zebra, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, warthog etc. roams freely between houses.
Our safari's are conducted by an qualified, experienced field guide registered with MTPA (Mpumalanga Tourism & Parks Agency) & FGASA (Field Guide Association of South Africa).
We are just a short drive from the world-renowned Kruger National Park giving us access to the home of the Big 5 as well as a number of other animal and bird species covering the Southern part of the Park. Kruger National Park covers an area of almost 2million hectares. Animals within Kruger roam about freely within.
You’ll be leaving with a memorable experience and memories to last a life time!

If you choose option 1 or 2, transport to and from one of our local restaurants will be provided for dinner purposes if required. Transport will also be provided to stock up on essential at shops in Marloth Park once you’re settled in.
Transport to and from OR Tambo International Airport can also be arranged.
4 Day African Safari Tour
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Pick up from Skukuza airport in Kruger National Park or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) in Nelspruit/Mbombela and transfer you to your *accommodation in Marloth Park.
Relax with a glass of wine or a beer around the campfire.
Day 2:
Pick up at your *accommodation for an early morning Kruger National Park safari lasting ±5hrs. Maybe we get lucky and spot the Big 5.
Enjoy breakfast in Kruger National Park at Mugg & Bean Restaurant at Lower Sabie Rest Camp. Drop off at your accommodation. Relax around the pool or take a walk next to the fence separating Marloth Park & Kruger National Park, maybe spot some of the Big 5 across the river.
Pick up at your accommodation for a Kruger National Park Night Safari by qualified guide lasting ±3hrs after which you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
Day 3:
Pick up at your accommodation for an early morning Walking Safari in Kruger National Park lead by qualified armed guides lasting ±4hrs. Drop off at your accommodation. Relax around the pool or take a walk next to the fence.
Pickup at accommodation for a Sunset Kruger National Park safari lasting ±3hrs.
After dinner, relax with a glass of wine or a beer around the campfire.
